My dear sisters and brothers in Christ,

As summer gives way to fall, it also brings the start of something new. Fall marks a new academic year, for students, faculty, friars and staff at St. Lawrence, a sign of new beginnings and fresh opportunities. At Earthworks Urban Farm, the harvest is in full swing. Throughout the Province, we friars and our partners in ministry find ourselves thinking of our founder St. Francis, whose Feast Day arrives in October.

As we give thanks ahead of time for what’s to come, I want also to pause and give thanks to you, my dear friends, who sustain and enrich our Gospel-inspired ministry in so many ways. May the fall bring an abundant harvest of many blessings to you and those you love.
